During London Frieze week 2026 FreddieFoulkes Gallery will present an off-site solo exhibition by newly-represented gallery artist Emily Wilcock at HOLDFAST, 23 Chepstow Corner, London, W2 4XE.

On Saturday 10th October, Untamed Line, Emily Wilcock’s debut solo exhibition with FreddieFoulkes Gallery opens off-site at and in collaboration with HOLD FAST, 23 Chepstow Corner, London, W2 4XE. The exhibition will run until 21st October

The exhibition will feature a number of ink drawings, paintings, and collage paintings in conversation with a selection of antiques and furniture chosen by Nicholas Chandor, HOLD FAST’s owner.

The exhibition is intended to showcase Wilcock’s uninhibited draughtsmanship and painterly experimentation. It is remarkable that, when addressing the human form, her drawings opt for a sensitive and possibly romantic energy while her expressive paintings present a harshness and aggression unleashed. This too can be interpreted as a lust for life.

All of Wilcock’s artworks are autobiographical and, with the accentuation and distortion of human forms with combined abstracted and more materially concerned motifs, present nuanced feeling and thought.
