Finlay Abbott Ellwood debuted with the gallery in the 2026 group exhibition The Secret Garden. His paintings, sometimes graphic, sometimes more painterly, offer an oblique and coded look at the natural. Abstracted forms meet on banded canvases, tackling formal concerns within painting alongside those broader in scope: of intervention in nature, of chance happenings, of natural versus artificial forms.
