White Dress, Hampstead Heath, oil on woven fabric mounted on canvas, 2026, 156 × 193 cm

Lilah Yekati, who has debuted in London courtesy of the gallery, is expressive beyond boundaries in the two paintings she has contributed to the group exhibition The Secret Garden. The surfaces of her works, composed of various scraps of canvas interwoven by the artist harbour paint dynamically applied so as to capture precisely what it is like to be in a moment rather than a recollection of one from the outside. Her painting White Dress, Hampstead Heath, of the artist traversing a field of wild grasses is at once bountiful, offering the experience and textures of the wilderness, as it is bucolic.

Born 2003, Rhode Island School of Design (2021-2025). Recent group exhibitions include The Secret Garden, FreddieFoulkes Gallery, London (2026); What We Carry, Bridgehampton Museum, New York (2026); at Guildhall, New York (2025); at Woods-Gerry Gallery, Rhode Island (2024).
